In this sixth book in the Tomgirlz series, Mackey and her friends have gone to camp for a week. When they find the camp activity center is closed, they come up with their own plan to make sure all the kids have fun anyway. They always love to make new friends, and when Abbey joins them, they’re thrilled to have her around.
But Abbey is concerned about her weight, and other girls tease and bully her. Tomgirlz won’t stand for anyone being mistreated, so they all stand up for Abbey, making sure she feels welcome at their games.
Bullying is an ongoing and troubling problem kids often face. While it may sometimes seem like harmless teasing, it can leave lasting scars. Abbey’s Turn shows kids that it’s not okay to bully someone because of a perceived defect, and the right thing to do is try to stop it when it happens. The Tomgirlz try to be friends with the bullies, which isn’t always possible, but they make sure Abbey knows they accept her just as she is. And most importantly, Abbey learns to like herself too.

Genres: Positive fiction and non-fiction only. At this time, I’m mostly interested in Christian books, although I will review anything with a positive message. I’m also interested in motivational and inspirational audio programs. Educational tools for children and Christian-themed products may be considered.
Once we have agreed to review your book, we will provide a mailing address. We only review print books. No e-books or electronic copies of any kind will be considered.
If you are requesting a review in advance of publication, please indicate the date we can expect to receive your book.
Due to the large volume of requests we receive, we may not be able to fit your book into our schedule. We are only two people, so if we do accept your book, please anticipate at least a four month wait for your review to be posted–we follow a “first-in, first-out” schedule. We have day jobs, too, and this is a free service we offer to authors.
Acceptance of your book does not guarantee a review. At this time, we are accepting self-published works on a very limited basis.
